Is Hand-lettering Right For You?

Hand-lettering is a form of art and that is why it is very different from using a font. Fonts are pre-designed and can be re-arranged making it easier for the designer to quickly draft messages and to erase if needed.

To use a Typeface or Font Family often requires that you purchase a commercial license, the design of the font is very limited and usually feels repetitive and cold to the eyes. On the other hand, choosing Hand lettering for your business can be right for you if you’re looking for something unique that nobody else has, as opposed to purchasing fonts that everyone can have. Hand drawn letters usually will have beautiful and unique details, color palette, decorations and illustrations; making it warm and appealing to the eyes.

More and more Hand Lettering has become a trend because the messages can be presented in a unique way, that can easily connect and grab the attention of the target audience.

There are no limits to what you can or cannot do with Hand Lettering and you can apply this to any medium to create bold statement pieces such as:

Signage (Chalkboard, posters, murals…)

Apparel, Prints, Advertising (Social Media, TV…)

Editorial (Magazines, Ebooks…)

Branding (hand lettered logos, product packaging…)

Personalized gift and custom items for events (such as a mug, t-shirts…)
