Storefront Mural for LaserAway Pasadena

Bringing Pasadena to Life: My First Storefront Vinyl Mural for LaserAway

Creating murals for brands is always an exciting opportunity, but this project was extra special—LaserAway, a repeat client, reached out to me to design a storefront vinyl mural for their Pasadena location. I’ve worked with them before on illustrations, so it was an honor to take on something bigger and more immersive. This mural was a way to celebrate Pasadena’s unique landmarks, highlight the beauty of nature, and create an inviting, eye-catching storefront.

The Vision: A Nature-Inspired Pasadena Landmark Mural

LaserAway wanted their Pasadena storefront to reflect the city’s charm while staying aligned with their brand’s aesthetic. They had a clear vision: a mural infused with nature-inspired colors, Pasadena landmarks, and organic elements. We worked together to develop a concept that felt vibrant, welcoming, and connected to the local community.

Design Elements: A Blend of City and Nature

To bring Pasadena to life, I incorporated iconic landmarks such as:

  • Pasadena City Hall – A stunning architectural centerpiece of the city.

  • The Rose Bowl – A nod to the city’s rich history and famous annual event.

  • The Rose Garden – Symbolizing Pasadena’s floral beauty.

To tie in nature and enhance the organic, inviting feel, I illustrated:

  • California Poppy Flowers – The state flower, adding bright pops of orange.

  • Orange Trees – A subtle nod to Southern California’s citrus groves.

  • Lush Greenery & Abstract Floral Elements – To create a fresh, dynamic flow throughout the design.

Color Palette: Nature Meets Vibrancy

The colors were intentionally chosen to feel earthy yet bold, blending greens, warm oranges, and soft pinks. This kept the mural feeling harmonious with both nature and the surrounding cityscape, while also standing out as a statement piece.

Why Storefront Murals Matter

Murals are more than just decoration—they create an experience. This mural transformed LaserAway’s storefront into a destination, drawing in foot traffic and creating an Instagram-worthy spot that locals and visitors alike would recognize. Public-facing murals help businesses strengthen their brand presence, foster community engagement, and enhance the customer experience before people even step inside.

Let’s Create Something Bold Together

This project reinforced my love for bringing spaces to life through illustration. Whether it’s for a storefront, office, or brand activation, murals tell a story and create lasting impressions. If you’re looking to add custom artwork to your business, let’s collaborate to bring your vision to life!
